What needs to be included on the engine?
Most engines must be assembled as a long block - cylinder heads on the lower end with all the internals, no covers, manifolds, fuel/ignition system or accessories. Some cores have a note that they must be a short block (no cylinder heads) or a premium long block (must have timing cover and oil pan installed as well).
Does the core have to be a running engine, or what condition must it be in?
Cores for purchase must have no visible holes or cracks in the block and must turn over 360°. All core sales are subject to inspection prior to payment.
Do you purchase other cores that are not on the list?
The list is very complete, however there are certain cases we will purchase cores not on the list. To request a quote for a core that is not on the list please call our toll free number of 855-459-1550 or email corepickup@gmail.com.
How does the process work?
Complete the form listed online to let us know what cores and how many you have. A representative will contact you with a shipping quote (if selected) or to arrange a date for delivery. Once the cores are to our warehouse they will be checked in, the representative will call you once more, and we will send the check within one month.
When do I get paid?
Times vary based on location and our schedule. Typically the entire process (not including shipping times if applicable) takes no more than one month for the core to be processed and check to be issued. Cores delivered to our location can often times be provided a check upon delivery.
How much does shipping normally cost to send a core to you?
Due to common industry shifts in pricing, shipping charges vary over time.
